When I start an external conversion program from cmd.exe, it uses up to 70 percent of the total cpu-time. When I start the same program (same command line) from within a com+ component, it uses only 15 percent of the cpu-time and 70 percent of the time the cpu is idle. Can anyone tell me why this is the case? The Process Explorer (SysInternals) shows that the priority of the process is high when started from com+ and only normal when started from cmd.exe. My goal is to use at least 70 percent of the cpu time when the process is started from within the com+ component.
